In addition to its own programme, AFGW-ACT Inc. interests itself in the activities of these Canberra organisations:

The Canberra Branch of the Children's Book Council of Australia
The Canberra Council for Overseas Students.

September 2012 Some AFGW members attended the funeral of comittee member, Dr. Gwen Woodroofe OAM. She can be seen in the group photo below with some AFGW members. Gwen will be sadly missed.
